The history explaining how these were excavated is remarkable. The views from them are also excellent. The farthest end does slope steeply and there is a warning which suggests it can be hard work returning, so if you do not like walking up slopes attempting the whole length may not be desirable.

A quick stop off at the tunnels was part of a taxi tour. According to the guide, it takes about 40 minutes to walk the length of the tunnels. I didn't have that long, but there was enough time to learn a bit about Gibraltar's history. Look out of the windows to see some great views of the main town... More

This was one of the many activities included in our van tour. We really enjoyed the whole tour. The walk in was really easy but, the walk back is not for the faint hearted and can be steep in places, just take it steady coming back up but well worth it!.

Really worth a visit and make sure you walk down the WWII tunnels till the end - fab!! But on a serious note, the walk back is not for the faint hearted and can be steep in places, just take it steady coming back up but well worth it!

Well put together presentation. A definitely interesting experience for both adults and children. Good mix of "entertaining" presentation for kids, yet still good "meat" for adults. Unfortunately, it isn't a loop (I get it...siege tunnels weren't constructed with tourism in mind when they were cutting through rock), so when you walk in downhill, you'll hike back up past all you... Fantastic views out over the runway and Spain, but more importantly stepping back in history and trying to imagine what life must have been like for those incredible men who fought their way through solid limestone rock to place a gun on the Notch in order to defend Gibraltar. It is amazing to see the marks in the rock where... More
