These rare apes are awesome to see. I think this is the only location in the world where these gorgeous little creatures can be seen out of captivity. The first thing we were warned about when exiting the cable-car was to wear our backpacks on our front. The monkeys know how to get into them and know that's where we often carry well-wrapped food. So even if they can't smell it, rucksacks are still worth raiding for possible bounty. I forgot the latter point and as a result... More

I hadn't been aware of Apes Den before getting on the cable car to the top and it definitely added to the surreal experience of the rock.

When I say pick pockets I mean the monkeys,they are quick and will take anything that's not out of sight,hide your hats,glasses etc.

Don't bring any food. Repeat do not bring any food. They are fed properly like in a zoo. Behave sensibly and everyone will have a great day.

This place you get a great view of both the sides of the Rock and you will get close contact with the monkeys. Did this as part of the Rock tour.
