Sit on the stone, may be warm for the summer or wet for the winter, but sit there, at least for a minute. Watch the people coming by, some of them deep in their regular life, but a lot of pilgrims too. Talk with them,...More

A real real real big and busy square. It is by times so crowded you almost loose sight of your own friends. For a relative small town it is huge. Some beautiful builings are alongside the square. All tourist atractions so you can not miss...More

Impressive public square that brings together on three sides the Church, local Government and the University. There are excellent views of the square from the balcony of the University building if you take their short tour: it’s well worth your time.

People are coming and going all the time so you can just hang around and watch the world go by. Maybe made better by the fact that there are no restaurants here so none of the architecture is blighted by loads of tables and chairs.

I would recommend taking a tour here so you know what you are looking at. Interesting facts about the pope's visit will Only be known by locals. A must see in Santiago

This is pretty much ground zero and a wonderful place to take in the whole experience. It can really be enjoy from the upper levels of the Cathedral Museum.

This large square is directly in front of the Cathedral. It is without any monuments or fountains and is the place where Pilgrams complete the Camino.

Large open space with grand buildings around. It's bare in one way but is good to see the crowds busy being tourists and some good architecture.
