It is a very interesting archaeological museum. The ticket price is only 2€ and on Saturdays it's free. In my opinion it is an indispensable visit

The Archeological museum at San Anton Castle is a wonderful little museum with artefacts from La Coruna and the surrounding area. The entrance price is only a couple euro. There are large stone items displayed in the parade ground after you go through the main gate. On the ground floor, the rooms are dedicated to different eras from the Stone... More

Worth a stop if just for the views. There is also a small collection of historic items, however there is little English so unless you understand Spanish the meaning will be largely lost.

Once a fortress, then a prison from the end of the 17th century, now an archaeological and history museum, it is very interesting to visit. Signs are in Spanish with hand-out in English. Good views and exhibits. Entry only 2 euro, or 1 euro for seniors.

You can now walk up to it and after a small charge go inside. Years ago it was surrounded by the sea. Not massive so wont take long to view it all.

The castle is not very big as European castles go but it is excellently preserved with some very interesting displays. Most are labeled in Spanish.

This place has been done really well. It's an historical military museum but done so well, on a beautiful piece of land right in the city near the harbor! Not too large, nor too small. You can spend an hour or more (or less!) Easy to walk around. Clean restrooms too!

I went to Castle of San Anton on foot on Paseo Maritimo, 2 euro to get into the castle. Overlooking the stunning sea view from the castle of San Anton.

The Castle of San Anton overlooks the harbour, and was a short walk from the Britannia ship and the centre of the city, as we stopped by for the day. Included is the museum about archaeology and local history (including Roman and medieval artifacts), which was worth it for the 2 euros entry. There is great views over La Coruna... More

The Castel San Anton overlooks the harbour and houses a small archaeological and historical museum. On a sunny day you get great views off the roof and there is an ecletic and interesting collection of artefacts housed within. I think that entrance was only three euros! Archaeology takes you from the palaeolithic to the bronze age, Celtic iron age and... More
