The history of filmmaking museum was around the corner from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about the extensive size of their collection of the evolution from still pictures to motion pictures with thorough explanations. Highly recommend!

I was amazed to visit this museum and find out all the treasures it shows, from the very beginning of Photography's History, going through all the 19th century, until the first films arrive. I had never seen, in Paris, London, Lisbon, Rome, etc., such a...More

Honestly, I liked this museum way more than the art museum and the tour through the cathedral. There's so much thought put into the three floors of the cinema museum - lots of moving stuff, interactive models of camera obscura and various optical illusions placed...More

This museum is very cool. It includes a lot of cinema history and displays the various tricks that were used to add special effects or filming techniques to a movie before our current technology. Would have loved to see a modern cinema section though, since...More

Extremely impressive collection of artefacts and a very impressive and well organised exhibition. Ducked inside on a rainy day and spent a good couple of hours there. Wasn't expecting such an enjoyable museum

We got in by chance, just parked next to it and went in without any expectations. The museum is quite complete, especially on the early stages of cinema and has some awesome pieces, true jewels...and some toys children can touch

We visited on a Sunday and got in for free. Very educational and interesting for the children and adults also. If you like movies and want to learn more about camera and film making, really worth a visit.

This museum is great! Very interesting and we spent a lot of time here. Surprisingly we passed only 2 other people while we were in there so maybe people are unaware how good it is, but its definitely worth a visit.

I had nothing better to do and am not a real film buff. But there were isolated instances of real interest in there amongst all the old cameras and other equipment from past days.
