This was one of the highlights for me, when visiting Girona. Really worth it to take your time wandering the streets here as there will be A LOT of great photo opportunities. It is one of the places where it is historically and visually interesting, so make sure to dedicate some time for walking around here during the day. Do... More

This is a very good old town to take a stroll and take in the historical buildings which are very well preserved. Certain scenes in Game of Throne was shot here. There are also cafes and souvenir shops to keep one occupied.

While the Jewish museum in Girona has fewer bells and whistles than other Jewish museums in southern Europe, compared to the others I have visited, this one is unique in that it is more of an archaeological museum. When the Jewish community in Gerona was decimated in 1492, all the Jewish homes were annexed by the community, all the synagogues... More

While none of the Synagogues remain, the winding cobblestone labyrinth which is the Jewish Quarter is an amazing place to spend an hour or four. There are many stories linked to it's streets. Must see.

Nice and beautiful old steps to take pictures and its steep. You will love the stairs since they are fun to walk and take pictures.

After visiting the Cathedral of Girona we visited the Old Jewish Quarter. Wandering on old and narrow cobbled streets is like you turn back in time . It is a bit steep going up and down but take it easy and enjoy a place full of character and history. Is it full with restaurants and little bars. Highly recommended

Exploring the museum in the heart of the Jewish quarter was interesting. Seeing the artifacts from the 1400's in the place where the old Jewish quarter existed had more impact then just observing them in a museum in the US.

A hilly area of cobbled streets, which can be difficult to negotiate. However, it is worth some effort, as it full of character. The narrow lanes and alleys take you through history, through the large ancient city walls.

We had read many things about this and were disappointed. We've visited other Jewish centers/synagogues in Spain that were better (particularly in Barcelona and the small one in Besalu). The location is pleasing, as is the whole city of Girona.
