We were charmed by these medieval romantic small twisting streets and lots of stairs. All around speciality shops, cafes and restaurants. Plan to enjoy yourselves

If you like antiquity this is the place to visit. Charming area, old buildings, narrow streets - you won't be disappointed

We enjoyed walking around the whole of Girona which is full of narrow streets and lots of steps. We were rather restricted by time but could easily have spent much longer exploring this medieval city because there is so much to see. town.

All part of the medieval and romantic part of Girona with its twisting cobbled streets. Great place to wander and relax. Loads of cafes and restaurants plus individual shops both upmarket and more for tourists.

The entire "casco antiguo" is lovely. Nice restaurants with well restored buildings. The evening is perfect for wandering with the locals. The feel is much more local people rather than tourist.

Hi Marilynn, You have to think that Girona's city centre is in a low hill. So you can go with a wheelchair in some areas but you should be strong or have someone to push you a little bit strongly... There are ups and down... More
