Several rooms to look in with graphics and very short film explaining use of each room. Discount for seniors made it inexpensive. Spiral staircase to access at either end made it difficult with limited mobility.

We stopped for a brief visit whilst on a day trip to Girona and glad we did as this is such an interesting historical location. There is plenty of information about the baths and their history, my husband and I even went through twice as it was so interesting. We paid next to nothing to get in 4 euros each, we loved every moment as it was so interesting.

You might miss the Arab Baths, in a non descript building other than the small entrance sign. We were fortunate to visit with a tour guide and were fascinated by the history and the role the baths played in society. They were filming for a Portuguese travel show that day which was kind of fun!

It’s a very small place - I saw everything in 15 mins. But definitely worth a visit specially if you’re a Game of Thrones fan. Arya had a few scenes here. This place is rich in history. Really makes you wonder how it looked like hundreds of years ago when it was fully functional.

This shows how people use to take bath in old time, along with Sauna. Well. Made and preserved. It's quite informative for the kids, actual bath places are small and make u wonder with lot of questions. It will cost €2 to go inside.

Although Banys Àrabs were modeled after earlier Islamic baths and Roman baths, they look like perfectly preserved Romanesque Christian structures. The Arab baths were built in the 12th century and then rebuilt in the 13th century after being destroyed.

I went to the Arab Baths expecting a historical tour of some ancient ruins. I was unpleasantly surprised by the amount of modern art placed (seemingly randomly) throughout the place. Was it necessary to stick a giant photograph of eyeballs in one of the areas of the museum? Pictures online will show the baths w/o the randomly scattered art--I wish it were like that when I went to visit. I can't complain too much though as it only cost ~1 or 2 E to visit the place. The visit could have been done in less than 5 minutes.

It is not very impressive but still charming place and worth to see, especially if you are a fan of Game of thrones as it was used as location. Very peaceful and quiet.

The Arab baths represent an earlier part of history in Girona. They are very well maintained and provide an insight into early life in the city. The entry fees of 2 to 4 euros are well worth the self guided tour through 4 chambers. Good photographic opportunities.

How long do you recommend to visit these Arab baths? Can we walk around or do we have a guide? Thanks for your help with this.

Hello,
The visit can takes you about 10 minutes and there's no guide visits. The entrance cost 2€ and it's a free visit. I recomend you to do another activity after or before that like visit the City Walls for example.

Dear Greg,
You cannot swim at these baths. This is an archaeological monument and it's only for visiting and get information about it use in the past ages. I hope it will be useful for you to know!
