This place is very well preserved. Other than taking a walk down memory lane, there's also a Jewish museum if one is interested in a more in depth display of history.

What a terrific picturesque old medieval town! This part of the pedestrian area is superb, full of great photo ops! You won't know where to direct your camera lens. The houses, the pebbled paved streets, the doors and architectural details, the little tunneled streets hidden between 2 stones buildings. Here and there a little patio or garden area... absolutely superb.

A wonderful place for a stoll, good modern shopping amid medieval arcitecture and mediterranean restaurant fare. Good place to learn a bit of history including the drastic expulsion/conversion of jews from catholic Spain. Just a nice day of walking and taking in architecture, sites, modern shopping and history. Enjoy it!

This charming area in the old town has a dark history. I suspect that it would be a very interesting place to visit with a guide -- we didn't have time for that so after a visit to the Jewish museum, we spent some time wandering around the steep winding streets. If you walk along the city wall and then... More

We learned so any interesting facts as we toured the Jewish Qtr. In Girona with Marc at Girona Experience. Absolutely fascinating culturally and historically. The town is incredibly intact and you can truly imagine life in those times.

Aside from the historical significance of this area, we really enjoyed the sights. This is one of only a few places where getting lost would actually turn out to be fun. Every twist and turn on the cobble-stoned streets leads you to a breathtaking view and seem to transport you to the medieval ages. And don't get worried, you won't... More

This is the old Jewish Quarter of Girona, before the "Catholics" King and Queen started to clean their kingdom from Jewish people. You can visit the old houses that are carefully maintained. A museum can learn you about all the work Jewish's were doing, working with the others inhabitants of the city. Until XIX century Jewish people were pursued in... More

Brilliant. Excellent walks through ancient streets, many of which served as location for the most recent Game of Thrones series. Well worth a stroll

It's incredible part of the old city to walk around. We went to the Jewish museum as well. It really gives you the picture of what the city must of looked like in the 13th & 14th century. It's amazing to visualize, but it also has a sad ending. The history aspect of this area really blew me away, and... More
