As with most plaza's in Madrid these are a centre of social life. People congregate here after work and over weekends. Plaza del Sol is particularly vibrant. We spent some time here of the weekend and on a Monday. It gets REALLY busy! Nice to...More

Personally I don’t see a lot to attract me to Plaza del Sol however it is clearly popular. I would suggest it is most popular with those looking to save a little money and bring their own food and drink without having to pay for...More

Sit and relax. Non touristic spot and a great place if you want to get mixed up with the locals. Mostly crowded during the night.

This is a small square in the Gracia are and there is essentially nothing here but a few restaurants around the square. There are better places in Gracia.

Not recommended. Some people sitting in the floor with no ambiance at all. Not my type of plan. Hippie style.

The Placa del Sol is close to the Passeig de Gracia but with less tourists. You have some nice shops in the quarter and find a lot of heartly people in good Mood. The place itself is not special but the People and the nice...More

Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to
be an independent town until late into the 19th
century. Though it’s just a short commute away from
the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole
different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many
international artists to this area, resulting in a
wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy
boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the
