One of the most classic bars in Barcelona. Warning: it smells. However! It is an absolutely precious bar with live music almost every other night. If you are into speical little bars with lots of personality this is the place for you!
From the outside it looks like a place you should avoid. Inside though it is beautiful. The walls are filled with works of art and it hosts amazing music nights! The ventillation is really bad amd it smells like a sewer though...
Ive bin here a couple of times, i love to come here because the feeling is so authentic - you get a beer or a pastis and in the background is there nice music usually edith piaf its like being in a time warp.
First up, if you want the owner to greet you with a skip and a dance, go somewhere else. He doesn't really care if you're there or not. Having said that, the place does have a charm and I would love to go back when...More

My husband and I, as I write this are currently sitting 4 floors above this bar in a rented apartment on our last night of a work/holiday in Barcelona. We have been in the bar twice for drinks prior to retiring up the wooden hill...More
Found this place by coincidence! What to say...The weird decor to even more weirder owner!Place got the character tho!Not to expensive and with lovely lady singer.Well worth a visit as there is hardly anywhere places like that! You either like it or hate it!
This is supposed to be a traditional old-time Barcelona bar/café, but don't go here. The drinks are very expensive and the service is awful. The place is supposed to have character, but what it really is, is a dump. Just don't bother. There are so...More
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
