Spent New Year's Eve with the crowds in Placa Espanya. Saw the fireworks, music, and fountain show. A lot of happy people but relatively well behaved crowd with kids, families, couples, etc. Make sure you have 12 grapes handy to celebrate the new year.

There's a mall across from Espanya and this is the center for you to go to Tibidado, Montjuic, Montserrat etc to catch a train. Plenty of restaurant and bakery. Oh yes, pastries is so cheap in Spain and Portugal and so GOOD...!!
I found this place while travelling on the Bus Touristic. To be honest, the view was jaw-dropping. People kind of had the urge to hop off the bus to discover the place. You can take some nice pictures there.

Hello,we got to the station,placa espania,it is located under a huge traffic island,or round about,with several entrances,all leading through walkways,we asked at the first kiosk,where ticket office was,bought tickets to Monseratt,and were directed to the platform some distance away.so go early,trains ran every hour.
