Two friends and I went to this techno club because a guy I've met before told me, that this would be the best club in the city. These are big words. In my opinion it's a really good techno club but not the best I've ever been to. We paid €18 entry and €2 for the wardrobe and we met... More

We arrived here around 2300 and the people had just started to arrive. There was a live rock band at one stage and some techno at the other...nice concept.

Best venue/club sound in town. Best gigs. Different nightclub every night with the best ambiance and without problems in the door (no matter how you are/dress). Cheaper than the posher clubs in town. Worth a visit.

I was in Apolo for a night to have a party there and it was great. Really nice place and good crowd. The music was good to dance and party and the people had lots of fun. Drinks for OK prices. Worth to spent your evening there.

This place used to be an old Theater that has been converted into a nightclub. If you want to avoid massive queues it is advised to get there before 2am. The entry was 18 euros and you get a free cocktail with that. They have two sections, one that plays rock n'roll, the upstairs section is electronic music. This is... More

Went at 3am, regretted the €14 entry fee as it felt like we were at a school disco. Did get a "free" vodka. Music was a mix of dance, then grunge, then indie. The kids in there were loving it. Went downstairs and it was full of spacers. No pass outs for smoking- once you leave there's no re-entry. Left... More

Sala Apolo's 'Nasty Mondays' makes Monday the best day of the week, every week. Great music (rock, pop, indie, garage, electro...), great atmosphere and great people. I have always had an amazing night here! Unlike many clubs in Barcelona they don't have a dress code at Nasty Garage's events. So girls, don't bother putting on high heels. You will be... More

Smoking wasn't allowed which was lame. Bartenders were super slow, at least with me as i wasn't a pretty girl (perverts). Filled to complete capacity that it was impossible to walk about or get some air. Highlight was the little room that was downstairs playing electronic music, even though steve aoki's doppelganger was down there being annoying by thinking he... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
