Beachfront Places to Eat and Play

I walked along the beach in this area and enjoyed the sunshine and the people-watching. This former port and industrial area was reclaimed for sites during the Olympic Games years ago and now is a site for business and recreation, all cleaned up and spiffy. Places to eat and play.

Craft multitudes

Exciting it was to stroll along the promenade and view where the Olympic sailing competitions happened back in the halcyon days of '92.

It is still a vibrant area. And of course the multitudes of craft of all size add to the waterfront atmosphere.

This area was built in 1992 for the Olympics. Old industrial buildings were demolished and new hotels, a residential complex, railways, a park, and a four-kilometer walking zone were built. The new sports port is located near two popular beaches.

Port Olympic is a great place to wander around and find a nice place to eat. We ate out a LOT during our trip to Barcelona and this place was our favourite area to do so.

Cool beach front to chill

Cool place for a stroll, swim or even a meal. I took a stroll and enjoyed the scenery. There are lots of restaurants facing the sea.

There is even a casino nearby.

Thriving area post 1992 Olympics

During our exploration of Barcelona, my wife and I spent part of an afternoon exploring the waterfront. This included the port that was full of boats of various sizes. I learned that like the other Olympic facilities from 1992, the port has been repurposed as a marina as well as the home for local shopping and cafes.

We had an Amazing Opportunity to spend some time at Sea on the Afternoon of our last Night in Barcelona, and what an amazing Port it is with all the Luxury Yachts in the Marina, as we left the Port out to Sea.The Views of the Barcelona Coastline too was breathtaking,and our Skipper Juan,was more than helpful in giving us Information throughout our Tour, even providing us with some Nibbles,whilst keeping our Drinks cooled in the Fridge down below.A very Good Port to take a day at Sea from.

Never ending walk

We traveled here with our feet from petit palace boqueria garden. The views were great and I was jealous because there were massive boats in this port.
