I took a bike tour which featured a long ride through this park. Great buildings, fountains, and sights. But what impressed me the most were the people. Many groups and families outdoors on a Sunday afternoon, dancing, singing, playing, and simpliny relaxing. It made me want to abandon my bike for a blanket and picnic basket. I recommend spending time... More

This was a nice park and was huge. Close to the port and the Barri Gotic, We walked the whole park and spent about half a day here. People were out with their dogs, sunning themselves, playing soccer and just enjoying life. It was a beautiful sunny day with incredible blue skies and good weather. If you are a tourist... More

We were in Barcelona for 3 nights and on the morning before flying home we walked to the park from our Poblenou base. The park was deserted save for a few dog walkers and a couple of runners. The sun was shining and we enjoyed a lazy stroll taking pictures. I have heard it gets busy with performers playing to... More

full of people yet there are some quiet places, nice grass to lie on. goon place for some pictures, to chill with a glass of wine, to rest a bit after a long day of walking everywhere.

Almost skipped this as we were running out of time, but glad we made it work. It was a beautiful day and many people were out sightseeing and walking their children and dogs. My best pictures are from this visit.

I came to Barcelona to study for a month. I live near Sagrada Familia so this park was only a 30-40 min walk depending on how I caught the red/green lights. The park is a calm little oasis amongst the city life and concrete. There are nice grassy knolls to set up and have a picnic. If you brought your... More

We stumbled across this park on our first night in Barcelona, Which ever way you find this parc you would have just had another wow moment. The beautiful statues and green everywhere wiith people walking, some with purpose others without. During the dday the street entertainers will have big bubble makers and you'll hear music of many cultures. The sound... More

Beautiful February day. Been to Barcelona a few times but never to park. Had lovely stroll. Place full of people of different ages doing different things- even saw folk training to be street entertainers. Particularly liked the fountain

Much to see here. Beginning with the entrance to the Parc with Arc de triomf at the entrance. Paths leading to different views. The highlight is the amazing fountain. Plenty of space to walk. Sites enhanced with locals enjoying themselves, school children on field trips. Several notable historic buidings within the walking paths of Parc. Since the paths are a... More

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
