The area
Address
Neighbourhood: El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

We always go to Moog multiple times when we are in Barcelona. They always play great music regardless day of the week. The crowd is interesting: all kinds of people , mostly youngsters not looking for “show-off” clubbing experience but for good music and very reasonable prices.

The entrance fee is about 10-15 euro and water costs 3 euro (compare with 10 in Pachá). Inside it is dark enough yet safe and cool. Ironically it has another very small dance room upstairs which plays pure commercial pop music.

It is located just off La Rambla so very easy to access from the central Barcelona. St late night it starts looking a bit shady on the street with some people clearly under influence, but there is always lots of police nearby so safety has never been a concern for us.

There are some reports on Tripadvisor about the doormen, but they have always been nice to us . May be all the people need to do show respect and behave while queuing.

Great place for techno lovers .

We arrived at 1 am and the line was huge, when we finally got in, the amount of people was overwhelming, absolutely no space to dance or to exist at all, I didn’t last more than an hour, couldn’t stand being pushed and squeezed any longer.
The music was alright, tolerable Techno, but it gets boring after a while.
Has all the potential to be a great venue if the entrances were more limited so you could actually enjoy your time there.
Wouldn’t recommend. Disappointing experience for the price we paid.

I'm not happy about how the doorman treated my boyfriend yesterday. My boyfriend has AD/HD and he tends to speak loudly sometimes. We were waiting in a line outside and we were almost about to get in when the doorman suddenly drags my boyfriend out of the line and tells him that he can't go inside.
I would have shown this more understanding if the doorman had said something to him earlier. He did ask everyone to be quiet at some point, it was not specifically toward my boyfriend. Throwing him out of the line was very uncalled for. Especially when we were just about to go inside.

I used to go to Moog every time I went out. And I used to bring people with me every time. I'm also a big spender. I spent about 300 euros the last time I went to Moog. It's important to treat customers fairly and with respect. Anything else is bad business and unprofitable.

I'm never going to Moog again.

Yesterday I wanted to show my friends Moog. We waited in a line for a long time and when we finally came to the door the guard kicked my boyfriend out of the line for speaking loudly. My boyfriend has AD/HD and sometimes doesn't realize when he is speaking loudly. We thought it was really unfair how my boyfriend was kicked out of the line. The guard did not give him a warning that he might be kicked out of the line.
I used to go to Moog all the time and drag a lot of friends there. And we are big spenders. Last time I went to Moog I spent about 300 euros.
I really do not tolerate how this guard treated my boyfriend. Next time I'm taking my friends somewhere else and we will spend our money elsewhere. Moog should really should make sure that their staff treats their customers fairly.

Absolutely awful, came here as some male friends recommend it, turns out it’s not very safe for women as almost every man in that venue groped, cornered and harassed myself and 5 friends, it was also very obvious and could be seen happening to every other women in there. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone, specifically women.

My first club experience in Barcelona and the worst club i have been to ever.
Waaayyy too small. It feels like it fits 100 people over two dance floors and there is a constant line of about another 50+ waiting outside. People probably spend 15 mins inside, get completely squished and shoved around, because everyone is trying to push their way either to the front or back out, then people go outside again to take a break from being squished.
Not enough space to even stand, defintely not to dance. Worst way to spend 15€. We wanted to leave after a few minutes.
I actually talked to some attractive girls, and had no issues with the bouncer, and didnt hate the music, but I will NEVER come back, EVEN IF IT WAS FREE.

The bouncer openly discriminated our friend from Africa by asking “el negrito esta con ustedes?”... he asked this terrible question twice.

Terrible experience, left us shocked!

Arrived around 4.30. Bouncers asked 12€ per person for one hour. Gave priority to some random people while we were patiently waiting our turn. Seriously random service, don’t recommend to visit AT ALL. TOTAL IGNORE!!

Went here on recommendation, after a few pre-drinks in near by Ramblas.
On arrival was greeted by a friendly English door man, which makes a change from the usual grumpy door staff you would come across at the clubs in Barceloneta.
The 10 euros entry fee is very reasonable, compared to the tourist trap clubs down on the beach.
The music was great for the genre, and the atmos was a mix of local friendly Catalans, and tourists.
Drinks prices not bad either, considering this club is just off Ramblas.
Served very quickly and efficiently, by the lovely girl behind the main bar too!!
A real dance club, not like the fakes on the beach.

Small. Loud. Downstairs great techno. Upstairs - wtf? Disco. ?
Good value. Fun evening. Go again. Recommended.
Note - it’s for dancing. Not sitting. Not much seating area.
