About
The Filmoteca de Catalunya (Film Archive of Catalonia) is a publicly-funded institution aiming at the recuperation, the conservation, the research and the dissemination of movies and audiovisual materials. Our facilities include two different buildings: in Barcelona's city center(Plaça Salvador Segui) you can find our Headquarters, hosting our offices, the Cinema Library, an Exhibition area and two cinema theatres, as well as the restaurant 'La Monroe' and the 'Llibreria de la Filmo' (a specialises bookshop). In the 'Parc Audiovisual de Terrassa" you'll find our Conservation and Restoration Center, in charge of the preservation of our films and audiovisual materials.

This was a cool find that I stumbled upon. Check out their listings for free movies and see if one suites your fancy. I saw the Nasty Girl (Das schreckliche Mädchen), in German and it was subtitled in Catalan.

I ate with my friends here and I have to say that the place is really nice with polite service but,
I didn’t like the chairs, they were very uncomfortable, looked like those of the school of many years ago and specially the food.
I’ve order the most expensive plate that they had. The Octopussy, 15€ for a small plate without flavour.
Was the same for my friends with the others meals.
I repeat, really nice place but the food is expensive and nothing special.

With each passing year there is less option for movies with Spanish subtitles. A shame because the curator is usually very good... an extremely elitist space.
