The Tablao de Carmen pays tribute to the great flamenco dancer, Carmen Amaya, born in 1913 in the gypsy quarter of Somorrostro which then existed in what is today Barcelona's Olympic Village. Carmen Amaya made her debut in 1929 before King Alfonso XII on the site which is today the Tablao de Carmen at the inauguration of Poble Espanyol de Montjuic.

What a fantastic experience. This is not plastic-tourist flamenco, but the real deal, with passion and temperament. The location is wonderful, and so is the food. Try it!

To reach this destination you have to walk through a Spanish Village, which depicts the various regions of Spain, in a relatively small area. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the club, from the front gates. The theatre/restaurant is set in the Andalucian area...More

This is without a doubt the best Flamenco performance in Barcelona. Great venue, good service, food was good too. A must see attraction in Barcelona.

I guess a visit to Spain isn't complete without a visit to a Flamenco dinner theater. We chose this particular venue and booked through VIATOR. I was thinking that an hour of people banging on a solid wood floor would drive me crazy but it...More
