After doing a course there two years ago, I stayed in contact with some of the teachers. During my stay in April 2015 I met one of them for coffee and she told me that the teachers had not received their wages for four months. Neither have the families that provide accomodation for the students. That is why the teachers... More

I came to Babylon to learn Spanish, instead, teachers were on strike and didn't keep classes, because they weren't paid for a few months. I asked my money back, but they said they CANNOT give me back my money. So, I lost 400 euros. They won't tell you this situation, but if you get there. Robbers!

Great teachers but this school is going out of business. The Barcelona school isn't paying their teachers and, as a result, they are on strike - only working Tuesday - Thursday. Avoid at all costs!! Its a shame since their teachers are all good and deserve better!

The teachers at this school (at least in Valencia) are on indefinite strike after not having been paid for the last several months´ work. If you book this school you will not receive your classes and it is unclear whether we will receive our money back. Disaster. Choose a different school! In addition, they will not confirm any of this... More

The teachers at this school are wonderful but unfortunately it might not be around for much longer. At the moment there are only classes Tuesday to Thursday because the teachers are on strike Monday and Friday, the reason being is that they haven't been paid for months. It is still possible to pay for courses in the future, but this... More

The teachers are on strike on my very first day of class due to the fact that they have not been paid since December (almost three months). Therefore no class took place. I undestand the teachers but what I don't understand is that the owner does not pay them. This will be my last language class at Babylon.

I read a review above that sums it all up really. Where the teachers may be lovely and actually rather good at teaching, the inherent lack of customers means you are put in a group that is well below your level and spend a lot of time learning the basics. The office is a bit of a joke as well,... More

I found learning Spanish as an immersion experience quite difficult. There was a great deal of support and the teachers were fantastic. The organised tours were excellent. I suggest that during the time you are a student you don't schedule much else! It is important to do the homework and put a lot of effort into learning. There is no... More

I wish I could write two separate reviews for Babylon idiomas: One for the teaching staff and one for the rest. The teachers were way above average (of what I have experienced in many other language schools). I stayed for four weeks, so I had a lot of different teacher. Of couse, some of them were not very motivated, but... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
