Went as a couple for the English class - we made gazpacho, spanish omelette, seafood paella, and crema catalan with Chef Alvaro, who was informative, enthusiastic, and funny throughout. He had a lot of commentary not just on the food we were making, but the...More

Highly recommended. We went to the Santa Catarina (El Born) market first and then back to the kitchen with chef Vanessa who accompanied us cooking a 5 course meal which we then all sat down to eat. The class was a good size of 8...More

WOW! More than I expected from their website description! 4 hour, very English-language-friendly excursion into Barcelona-region menu favorites. OK the paella isn't really Catalan, but it worked for this group of 9 students. Menu/course based on regionally fresh ingredients obtained from a trip to the...More

What better way to experience Spain than learning to cook the local cuisine? This class was great fun and also really educational. I now know how to cook the best Spanish omelette! We also learnt how to cook paella, gazpacho and the delicious crema catalana....More

Chef Amelia was really great - charming, engaging, and, most of all, expert. If she ever gives a course in 'Catalan Cooking 102' I will sign up.

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this
gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an
excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic
spots in the entire city. A sense of humble
authenticity protrudes from the many independent
record stores, second hand shops, and student bars
that seem to light up the streets day and night. The
rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day

Hi everyone! Before booking, I wanted to know - how many dishes do you get to cook by yourself? The website does mention a four course meal (gazpacho, bread with tomato, omelette, paella, catalan cream) So, 1) Does each person get to make each and every course? And, do you each get your own cooking station? Or do you have to partner up and share and only make one of the four dishes? Thanks for your replies!

Hi During our cooking courses the chef explains all the dishes and then they will allocate you a job. For example you might start chopping potatos for the tortilla, and then go on to blend the gazpacho ingredients. You will... More
