Highly recommend the tour. Great way to see the old city and hundreds of years of history. We did the 4 hours tour, not bored for a minute. The tour guide was very knowleagable making all the sights interesting.

The Plaza Cayalunya has grown into a microcosm of classical sculpture, a world-class source of local pride. Walk to the harbour down Las Ramblas, a detour will get you into instant cultural overload, even without thinking of the treasures of Gaudi...
