Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

Parc Güell is exactly what everyone tells you and what you see in books etc. So colourful, beautiful, gardens and flowers are incredible. Was extremely warm and I would recommend flat comfy shoes as the paths are original rocky and hilly!

Güell Park is wavy, dynamic, colourful, full of mosaic pieces. Like a fairyland. With gingerbread houses. We also located the symbol of the park, a salamander. The day was really hot, sweat just pouring down my back. The park was packed with tourists, even though...More

It is long distance but it is great to see barcelona from top. Nice view.alot of walk between trees. Don't forget to take your water and be ice one, if it is hot. You can take some food and make it as day out door.

This is an iconic place to visit and a must see if you come to Barcelona. You do need to prepare for aching calves afterwards though, it's very hilly with lots of steps! Worth it for the spectacular views you get at the top

The mosaics throughout the park are incredible. After visiting the park you begin to notice so much more of Gaudi's work spread throughout the city.

Words can't describe the experience. If you like Gaudi, this is a must see attraction. Also a nice retreat from the busy city.

Not sure why this place is a must see, maybe because of the fantastic views. The place is gravel and if you do not like dirt, do not go. The walk up the hill from the bus will test you to make sure you heart...More

From metro a nice walk apart from the steep hill before the entrance it does have escalators but 1 wasn't working, the guards are strict on entrance times, but are helpful when you arrive, once inside there are winding paths, picturesque buildings, and lovely scenery,...More

A great trek around the park - it was a good amount of walking and climbing steps- all of which was free. We also paid to access the Monument zone for €7.00 pp and to be honest I'd rather have skipped it. Not because of...More
