Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself.

We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct:

- Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes.

- City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes.

- City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes.

- Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes.

- Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

We went there before lunch, on a day it was supposed to rain. It didn't, and that did not scare the huge line of tourist away. The view is amazing, especially at the entrance and from the aqueducts. You can see some of it for free, but the cool stuff requires a ticket. We ended up not buying tickets, because... More

I fail to see the attraction of this place. If you like lots of coloured tiles stuck of walls it is for you but I do not. Also it was extremely crowded which might indicate not a lot share my view.

Very busy, and I recommend buying ticket in advance as it is very popular. There are a few things to see in the park, like the spectacular views and structures. However some stuff you are able to see from the outside without having to pay for it. THey are very specific about your entrance time into the park.

It can be tough finding the exact entrance to the main attraction in this big park. They can be fairly strict on pre ordered ticket times if it gets crowded so plan accordingly and get there on time. The architecture was enjoyable but it's hard to get a good photo with so many people around. If you do get a... More

I visited Park Guell as part of the best of Barcelona tour on Viator. This was a good choice for someone who doesn't want to bother figuring out the commute to this place, which is a bit off from downtown. An hour to go around is a little rushed but you can still cover most of it within the allotted... More

This park is beautiful. It was built to be part of a development outside the city that never took off. The park however is beautiful and has amazing views of the city. It's a bit outside of the city. We took the metro to the nearest station and walked but it was a bit of a trek. Fortunately there are... More

First of all, there is entrance fee of 7 euros only to the monumental area of the park and the rest of the park has free entrance. I did not visit rest of the park area but just the monumental area which is really worth a visit and spending the extra entrance fees. This Antonio Gaudi's architectural fairy land is... More

This Park is beautiful and interesting. We didn't have enough time to see it all, you should allow a full day to fully appreciate it.

We had a nice walk at Park Guell. Enjoyed beautiful scenery and took colorful pictures. The entrance price is pretty low and the staff is helpful. The only drawback was that despite limited number of tourists at any given time, the park was crowded and noisy. We still recommend this place for a pleasant walk and to learn about Gaudi's... More

Buy your tickets online!! The wait can be serious. We went at 1pm and had to buy tickets to come in at 5pm. The park is pretty far from everything else, so we stayed walking around the free park areas surrounding the main entrance part. The park is really nice and big. From the top part of the park you...
