This was such a wonderful surprise! Tour organised as part of our Camino walk and it contained so many hidden treasures! What we were told was the real Holy Grail. A fresco painted over 1000 years ago - still with its original colours, a courtyard which held the first ever original parliament. And to top it off we got our... More

This is a must visit in Leon. There are very beautiful old fresco and sculptured capitals. There are several caskets of royal families.

This is attached to a place of worship, but you need to go into the museum part to see the real gems. It is via guided tour so ask when you visit to get the right one for you.

A visit with guide is a must. No other option I think, so check the hours. The mural was amazing, it is more than a thousand years old.

You can tour de museum next to the church at certain times only. Do not miss it, there are a few interesting treasures to be found and the archeologue/guide is very funny and interesting.

As Americans we knew there could easily be a language barrier when it came to touring the best things to see in Leon. We were prepared for that. I have a minimal amount of Spanish, and our son with whom we were visiting has enough to function and communicate. We entered the gift shop of the Pantheon, to engage a... More

The content of the museum is essential to understand the foundations of Spain. Very well preserved and documented pieces of the Romanic and the old Leon and Castille Kingdoms.

The tour cost 10€ for two people and was definitely worth the money. The only bad thing is that you can't take pictures of any of the items, even without using flash. They run Spanish and English language tours, that last an hour and given you some time to explore the last bit of the exhibition by yourself. There are... More
