Came especially to purchase for wife’s birthday. Assistant playing on her phone- could not have cared less about our custom. Did not even raise her eyes. Shame! Around the corner benefited in excess of 1000 euros.

This steel factory and workshop demonstrate some old but famous techniques of sword and knife making and gold plated steel jewellery. Good place to get a cultural insight.

Toledo was and is famous for its steel swords, knives, and inlaid jewelry. At the Damascene you get a brief tour of the way the swords and inlay is made and then you are taken to their sales shop. Lots of beautiful items to purchase.

Please, remove your opinion from my tripadvisor site, you are not talking about my bussiness. I am the owner of Damascene-damasquinado. It is a small shop in downtown Toledo and I do not work with swords. You must have visited some other store. Thank you.

The workmanship is superb and they are very creative. He was decorating a small bowl when we were there. Unfortunately it has become a tourist trap with very pushy sales personnel. I found earrings (which was what I was looking for) cheaper elsewhere.

I asked the lady for a pair of "good" scissors- not tourist ones. She gave me the same ones that I considered touristy. The were gold colored which started flaking off with use.

This place is a bit expensive but get stuff of the famous Damascene steel. The jewelry and the figurettes that you see are wonderful.

You actually get to see the craftsman working on small intricate pieces in the studio workshop! The gift shop has a wide variety of items available from the quite expensive hand-crafted pieces to others that are machine made and much more affordable.

That is the problem of travelling as part of an organized tour. Despite you are not talking about my shop (damascene-damasquininado is my little store downtown Toledo) I agree with you. You visited Damasquinados Suárez, that is a bussiness outside the walls of the city,...More

Went here whilst we were in Toledo, to see if we could find some interesting jewellery to take back home as souvenirs. There were some men sitting doing the intricate metal beating in the store, so we were able to see first hand how it's...More

Hi, MJMNewYork. It's on Calle Taller del Moro, pretty close to the center of Toledo. We found it by chance and were enthralled enough to help them get on Trip Advisor just because the people were so nice. I really recommend... More
