Best to see at sunrise and sunset. Its like looking back in time. Do be prepared to walk a lot or take a bus to some of the places, Their are plenty of taxis and other forms of transportation to get around
It is possible to walk to this point but we got to it using the red double decker hop on/off tour bus. It stops at this point for 5 minted which is enough time to view and take some photos. Don't miss this view of...More
In Toledo on a day trip from Madrid, we told our taxi driver to take us directly from the train station (see my review "Make this train stop a stop") to the famous Mirador del Valle before dropping us off downtown.
Being able to go up to the city on escalators was a real treat. They are hidden inside the hill below the city so that they do not detract from the city's authenticity. This was a place that cried out for photos at every turn....More
Great spot to get that perfect photo of Toledo and while there take in the amazing city that is world heritage listed.
Bit of a walk to get there so maybe hop on hop off bus or taxi if not up for walk.
This is certainly a great place from which to view Toledo, but just above is the Parador where the view is better and you can enjoy a snack, a lunch, a coffee while enjoying one of the best views in Spain
On the way to Toledo, you will only have to stop at the edge of the road in the places provided for this purpose. But the best place to stop is at the Mirador del Valle. Sit on the wall and look at the city...More
For some of the best photos that can be taken of Toledo, the Mirador del Valle, which translates to Lookout of the Valley, is the place to go. The hike there isn't strenuous, but it also isn't a walk in the park. I'm in fairly...More

There is a Hop-on, Hop-off bus every 20 minutes. A day ticket costs 9€ for the day. Half price for pensioners. You can also get a 10% discount if you have your ticket from another city's hop-on, hop-off bus [It's a worldwide company called City Sightseeing - check Google]. It's one of the best value for money deals in Toledo. Ear phones are provided and commentaries are in multiple languages. The Tourist information office have details of all the stops. The Mirador is a viewpoint on the opposite side of the river where the bus stops and waits while you can get out and look or take photos. If you want to stay and visit a restaurant, you can get a later bus, but you have ample time to take photos and get back on the same bus.
I don't know about a bus that is not hop-on, hop-off.
