Interesting museum with many El Greco paintings

what more can you say- the man was so far ahead of his time. Plan of Toledo- makes a great stop after seeing view of Toledo at the Met in NYC. Not to be missed.

At the moment a small part of the museum is closed and the usual route around has been modified however the museum is free at the moment and is fabulous. You should start off with a good look round the lovely gardens as well as a peek into the medieval cellars of the original property on the site. The first... More

Fantastic museum, and on Sunday's it's free! The museum is in the house that Greco lived in when he was living in Toledo. Very cool building, and there is tons of his original paintings and information about his painting style and those that learned from him. Definitely worth visiting.

Some have said that the site of the museum was El Greco's home but we were told that it was not, but that he probably lived across the street from where the museum stands. Nonetheless, the museum includes many rooms restored to their original appearance of life for well to do people in the 1600's. There are quite a few... More

If you like El Greco, this is a good place to start. Pictures of the 12 apostles and Jesus are great, as well as history around the time of El Greco. Spain has done a great job on preserving places like this.

The museum has a fine exhibition of the native son's works. It is also located in the former home or Rabbi Samuel Halevi, whose tatue stands in front.

Great opportunity to view the work of this great artist, along with works of his son and others in similar style. Buildings and grounds are beautiful. Do not miss the opportunity to experience this museum.

We enjoyed immensely our visit to this museum. It is housed in a restored medieval house very near the spot where El Greco actually lived. In the beginning we watched an informative video about his life and work and then toured the Museum which includes restored rooms giving a vivid picture of life in Toledo in the 16th century as... A great insight into how El Greco lived and the master he was.A good display of his paintings and those of his pupils. Don't miss the stunningly recrafted kitchen!

The museum is a group of connected houses holding paintings of El Greco. The diverse artist lived in this city and painted. The tour begins with the kitchen and an audio-conference. When you proceed you learn the painters early works and end up with some of his master works. 3 Euro per person is the entrance fee that is quite... More
