This piece of the old Santander wall is located under the Plaza Porticada. The entrance is by appointment and it costs 2 euros per person, but you can get a better deal (4 euros for 3 sites: the cathedral, the wall and the bomb shelter)....More

The ceilings along this plaza are superb, the stone work is clean and it offers an insight into the Spanish history, these are all in Spanish (no English translation is provided). It costs €1 to enter and is worth a look.

The guided tour (compulsory) is only in Spanish though the videos did have English subtitles. Found it very interesting and recommend a visit especially if you speak Spanish. It was raining so an hour out of the rain was a bonus.

It is definitely worth paying a visit on a dull beachless day. I recommend seeing it as the guide will explain everything very well to you.
