Recommend by the tourist information office and it didn't disappoint.it takes approx 1hour starting with a train reside down into the cave, continuing on foot through the caves galleries. The crystals, stalegtites, and different mineral colours are fantastic. A well organised and smooth organisation. There is a cafe, restaurant and shop on site. Also extensive car parking. The tour is... More

we took some time out to visit these caves, and that was a great experience. It is unfortunate that you cannot take photos when inside, but considering that these caves have survived for 300 million years and the stalagmites/stalactites were awe inspiring,.

Generally this was a magical experience. A small downside was the quality of the commentary and the way we were rushed round in places. The stalagmites and stalagtites were phenomenal. Unfortunately there is no photography (understandable) but the quality of the postcards is dire. Such a shame, if I went again I would be SO tempted to take some pictures.

As a geologist my brother has visited caves all over the world - he says this is the best he's ever seen. It was so spectacular that I soon forgot my claustrophobia! Full marks to the zinc and lead miners who recognised the value of their discovery and left in intact.

This is one of the geological wonders of the world. It is about 20 km long but regular tourist can access just 1 km but that is enough. One of the wonders is the stalagmite small tiny branches that grow against the low of gravity. It is stunning! The tour is well organized but photos in the cave are not... More

My husband and I came here on a suggestion from my uncle, who lives in the Basque Country. This is truly an amazing experience, and never once did I feel claustrophobic in any way. I don't speak Spanish, so the tour was a little lost on me, but I got the general gist of it, and it was still worth... More
