A great little market where you can try and buy local produce. Worth the visit if you're in Santa Cruz. Plenty of photo opportunities.

One of the better markets we visited on our trip. Fun spices, gelato, cheeses, etc. Open air market for most for it. Lots of booths. 20-30 minute stop.

An agri-food market, not very big, but very colorful and diverse. You can find flowers, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, fresh meat and meat products, fresh fish. There are also stands where you can get cooked food for take away. In the section dedicated to fish, there are also a couple of tiny restaurants.
It's clean, the shops look good, but it's quite crowded.
There is also a SuperDino supermarket.

Provided you enjoy visiting markets this is an excellent example of a lively and popular Spanish one. Like most markets of its type it is at its busiest mid-morning and in any event is largely closes at 2.00pm. Lots of local produce of high quality, especially the meats and fish as well as the excellent vegetables. So remember to bring an insulated carrier bag if you plan to do some food shopping.

The market is on two floors, with the fish stalls on the ground floor. From memory we visited several years' ago, at which time there were only traditional fish stalls but this time we noted several selling tapas style snacks which can be eaten along with a glass or two of wine or beer. Also on the ground/lower floor was at least one tapas bar with lots of jamons hanging from their ceiling. We didn't have time to sample either type on this occasion but will be returning soon to do so.

Recommended if this sort of holiday activity is up your street.

The sheer range of produce here was enough to get anyone excited. Add to that the quality of the produce. It was truly exceptional. If I had stayed in an apartment this is definitely where I would have shopped. Fruit and veg I have never seen before or more recognisable but not with the vibrancy of colour's.

Visited a few years ago when a lot of stalls were closed but this time the market was in full swing. A wide variety of stalls selling local produce fish meat and bread. Lots to see and enjoy. The building itself on two levels with side courtyards is worth a visit in its own right. Eat fresh seafood with wine.

Not what I expected. Just like a typical market with verduleros, carniceros and lovely floristas offering their goods. Many stalls were closed and given the names I did expect more of an African influence which wasn’t there. My mistake

From the reviews we expected a little more. On two levels with an escalator and lift available, there were a variety of shops as you would see in any market along with some temporary open stalls with tables. There were several butchers shops showing their wares, some fruit shops. A few stalls selling trinkets, a couple of cheese shops. The shops were in a tiled area easy to walk round. We initially went in Monday but half the shops were shut. So we went on Tuesday when most were open . Twenty minutes would be quite enough to view both levels
