I really recommend to visit that beach in the first part of the day as in the late afternoon sun is behind the mountain. Beach is not crowded probably because the only way to get there is by car. The sea is quite calm in the Nothern Tenerife standards. Sand is black but still you can find it few weeks... More

Nudist versus Naturist. According to Webster Web-Dictionary there is no serious ”versus” involved here. Americans most often say nudism for plain nakedness, whereas in Britain the word naturism is most often heard, tending to mean a LIFESTYLE with no clothes on. Textiler-Voyeurs versus Nudist-Voyeurs. In order to study divulged plethoric organs in profusion, then Tejita and Gaviotas are the beaches... More

Positives. After the completion of comprehensive securement-work of the non-trustworthy cliffsides behind Gaviotas Beach, and the clear-up on the beach itself, Gaviotas is now a lovely 200 meter beach with powdery soft black sand (less than 0,5 mm in diameter). Gaviotas is directly exposed to the ocean waves, so the Gaviotas sand is regularly washed clean in the storms. Only... More

From the lovely and civilized "Playa de Las Teresitas" (constructed with Sahara sand) you head north-east along the winding serpentine road "TF 121" for 3,3 km, (you pass the satellite town of El Suculum on the way as well as the Mirador point (with an ugly wartime lookout concrete building (the graffiti does not beautify it either) - but do... For arrive, you need to have a car (by bus also but really tiring). Supposed to be a nude beach but almost nobody do it. Really calm and not overcrowded. Be careful with drifts and recommend to bring own food & drinks there isn't any bar (usually there's someone selling by himself).

Black sand and rocky, with cliffs. If you like a challenge, go. Access depends on the parlous state of the crumbling road around the cliffs. Natural beach. No frills.

Very quiete and nice, black sand, free parking, nudism, waves for bodyboarding. Open minded people, here you have from family to gay couple and surfer, a big mix but very peaceful. No music, no bars, no food, if you plan to spend the day there you better bring you own food and water.

Very small beach (nudists are also present) 5 minutes drive from Las Teresitas. We arrived and the road was closed, so we parked the car and enter the gate (that was saying closed) and went. We found quite a bit of people but not at all near being crowded (maybe 40 people max). Waves are nice and the cliffs really... More
