A small, very rocky beach. Immaculately kept with recycling bins etc and a nice wooden boardwalk path all across it. Not the comfiest place to sunbathe (although plenty of people did) but a great place to sit and watch the waves or the many paragliders which use this as a landing spot. Most days they were constantly in the sky. A walk along the boardwalk takes you right around the coast to Playa del Duque north beach, passing a lovely look-out point on the way.

Plenty of peeps about on New Year's Day, including some even swimming.

We were lucky to be walking through when the Paragliders were landing, always well worth watching.

Coquelin was open & quite busy, but nothing like in the summer in normal times.

The walk along this beach path is part of the coastal walk that stretches from La Caleta to Los Cristianos (Playa Los Callados). A 10km walk the Google say takes just over 2 hours, plus all the stops in many bars.

This beach as it stands is nothing stunning, but it comes alive when the Parrasenders are landing here & also the Beach Bar (Coquelin) & the fantastic bands.
So it is worth a visit even if only to people watch.

Volcanic black sand? and rocks does not look good.Accessed by steep slope both ends.
Every time we walk past there the lifeguard had the red flag flying as the rollers rush in from the sea. This was great for the surfers but not family friendly.
On the plus side there is a good beach bar where you can watch the para gliders take off and land and see the surfers

That didn't really upset the occasion anyway, still a nice beach, has all the beach visitor would ever want, and the sea was lovely too :)

This is a gorgeous, natural black volcanic sand beach. It's quite pebbily and the water is quite choppy but still fine to have a swim and a play in. It has a lovely beach bar on, that occasionally offers live music. The beach is very clean and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed the walk down the board walk into Costa Adeje. Great for watching the paragliders come in from the mountains. Loved it👍👍

A wonderful beach despite it being pebbles and dark sand. Not busy. Used a lot by locals particularly early evening. Sunbeds and parasols available if you find the beach too uncomfortable.
Love the beach bar with live music, a wonderful spot to watch the sunset and also paragliders landing. Toilets available.
Staff young and helpful.

Nice chilled out corner of Tenerife. Just around the corner from la Caleta and all its amazing restaurants.

All the day from the Fanabe beach have we been watching for the paragliders to start their journey from high up the mountains. We have noticed them to land somewhere to Playa Duque direction, and thought it might be close to La Caletta. Tonight we jogged all the way from Fanabe to La Caletta, and yes, there we witnessed the last landings, pretty interesting, as the wind was pretty tough.

Rocky beach, the beach bar seemed nice.
