Have visited several times now and the views are breathtaking and other-worldly. The rugged terrain is very photogenic and you would struggled not to be amazed by the work of the natural forces. Best visited by car then choose where and when to stop and admire. Great day out but cold at the top.

Wow the drive was quite intense and if there is ever a next time maybe I would use public transport because of winding roads. We got there and did the 200m walk uphill to get a cable car, joined the que to purchase some tickets but the only slot available am sure it was 530pm and the last one. It... More

Went up Tiede by road, never got near the top. The weather was bad, rain and cloud, down below in Puerto de la Cruz it was bright sun and warm. There was still a lot to see, evidence of volcanic activity, rocks, lava flows, pumice etc. I can guess that on a clearer day the views would have been wonderful,... More

We took a trip up the mountain to the cable car and up to the top. Very cold and windy, but skies very clear and fresh. Beautiful site, loved the view and scenery. Take warm cloths and enjoy the view.

Pros: -Views -Air on that level is suprisingly thin Cons: -Views. Yes I know it is on pros and cons. But having also visited the eagles nest in Berchtesgaden the views were poorer even it is higher mountain. -42 persons in a cable car is too much...

Beautiful to make a road trip. Very nice to see the sunset! The roads are very good. Take a jacket with you because it's cold up in the mountains

Make sure to dress warm though because I didn't and had hard nips most of the way which rubbed to the point beyond painful.. Also take more than a kit kat to eat, there's literally no shops nearby.
