Ato and his team are incredibly nice and they have a great attitude towards life. I have been horseriding for many years in Austria, but during my Erasmus stay on Gran Canaria I discovered a new form of horseriding: Using less tension, understanding the horse more as a partner and learning a lot about the communication forms between horses (and horses and us) made this experience new and great. No matter if lessons, excursions (the area around Arucas is really beautiful!) or workshops of personal development - every time we went to this place in Arucas we were really satisfied. And even if you don´t have any experience with horses at all: go there and try it. They work if everyone, no matter if small children or older people. For sure your won´t be disappointed.

We drove around Gran Canaria and found wonderful NATURE on this islands, but wherever there was an inhabited place (village, town) we had the impression that places are not very much taken care of. There are FEW charming villages and towns around. ARUCAS, however, is very pretty, and it is a must to stop here! Wonderful cathedral, the squares in front of it on both sides are well worth a visit. Narrow little streets are cute and sympathetic. The hotel La Hacienda del Buen Suceso is an excellent place to stay - read my review about it...
