Went on a road trip into the centre of Gran Canaria. Stunning scenery. The roads are a little scary as sheer drops on one side and a rock face on the other with the occasional rock fall in the road. Watch out for the buses...More

I was running in Gran Canaria for a few days and managed to include Roque Nublo on a couple of runs. It look big from a distance but up close it just makes you feel nso insignificant. Perched on the edge of a cliff it...More

To visit roque nublo is a hiking activity of approximately 20-25 minutes one way. Hiking slope to the Roque is very gradual and easy, so it is suitable for kids also. The way to roque nublo is very scenic, if you like long drives then...More

We hired a car when we were on the island but only had time to view the Roque Nublo from afar as on our second hire day the weather had closed in and so we stayed at lower altitudes. The Roque and it's sister, Roque...More

Be sure to have the right shoes and the right clothes, the walk is not easy since its all up hill, but is definetely worth the view once you ae up after the 30 min walk.

Well worth the effort it will take to get there. Whether by hire car, excursion or bike(!) you'll probably park up in the small off road carpark aside a small retail unit that marks the start of a 20 minute uphill stroll to reach the...More

The hike up to Roque Nublo is something I strongly recommend to everyone visiting Gran Canaria. The way up is not too hard and the path is easy to follow as well: the views on the way there are amazing and you will be able...More

We rented a car just to drive here. Sadly our day was not so sunny and got worse as we approached our destination, turning to fog and rain. Though we did not see so much we enjoyed the hike and the outdoors.

We finally made it to the Roque this time. Had seen it from distance for long time, and it truly is stunning. However parking is a problem & there's only a small area for 30 spaces. So late comers just have to park to side...More

Can anyone give me advice on getting information regards serious walks on Gran Canaria, 5 to 8 miles. We are regular walkers with our local group (Scunthorpe Wednesday Walkers) but mature in years, 60's & 70's. Are there any "National Routes" on Gran Canaria, like there are in Lanzarote? Thank you for any help, Alan
