Ive been to alot of places on the canaries. And when it comes to walking outdoors, nothing beats Garajonay national park. The changing of the climate. The shifts in the nature. The low traffic of tourists. Everything is just perfect. Do not miss this if...More

Learnt a bit about the original Gomerian peoples and their unusual language now preserved by UNESCO, had a stroll around the park en route to a restaurant. Lovely panoramic views from high areas and good view of Tenerife showing Teide,

I was curious to see the laurisilva trees and loved the experience. Well marked paths, convenient parking, very informative boards, often with QRC codes.

A truly amazing place to walk, with amazing geology, surprising meteorology, fascinatingly alien plantlife and wildlife. Lizards, butterflies, exotic plants, weird mixtures of cloud forests and meadows. Really a unique experience, and absolutely worth doing.
