You don't need to pay for a tour to visit this park but ideally you will need a car. The park covers the centre of the island and it is reminiscent of the sub-tropical rain forest in New Zealand. The tracks are well maintained and your walk will be cool in the hot sun but maybe cold, due to the... More

An unexpected gem, a stunningly beautiful forest in the clouds, although the day we went was unusual blue sky and sunshine it was fabulous. There is lots of walks and trails you can follow which are well sign posted or you can just sit in the grass area and people watch. Reminded me of Game of Thrones.

Worth visiting, even in horizontal rain, cloud and zero visibility. Paths are well signed - you would have to try hard to get lost. However, remember that, round here the distance matters less than the height to be gained and/or lost.

If you visit La Gomera this is a must to see either by car or by hiking any of the trails in the area.

Garajonay National Park is a stunning cloud forest. Excellent trails well marked that would suit all levels, whether it's a gentle forest walk or a strenuous hike.

We really enjoyed visiting this national forest and learning about it. It was quite beautiful with great rainforest coverage. We strolled through the forest and took in all of the beautiful natural sites. I would definitely recommend stopping here.

The park covers appr. 10% of the whole island! The park hosts a great diversity of plant species out of which many (appr. 30) are endemic to the island and 8 found only in the Garajonay National Park. There are many options to take longer (4-5 hours) or shorter (0,5 hour) trips in the Garajonay National Park. Distance, time needed... More

Here you can see breathtaking views over mountains and valleys. You can wander in the mysterious forest of laurel trees all covered by mosses and lichens due to the moist climate.'

The paths and trails are well marked and the scenery looks like a fairy tale. It's worth a day trip from Teneriffa and takes only 70 minutes by Fred Olsen Ferry (watch out for dolphins the frist 20 minutes leaving Los Cristianos Port)
