This local market is bursting with fresh produce and is well worth exploring. If you are self-catering it’s a gold mine. Best to get there in the morning.

A modern market with great fruit & ham stalls. Good wee bars too. Not much else to see & produce was expensive but that’s probably because we are on an island & not mainland Spain. Have a trip round the market, it’s worth a visit.

It’s open from Monday to Friday from 7am to 2.30pm and partially open on Friday from 2.30pm to 8pm. Saturdays from 7am until 3pm. Usually closed on Sundays. There’s a good website Hope this helps

Hi from the cruise port to the market, Taxi fare is within 15€ , around 10 minutes

Caja major? Can't find that on Palma map. The Mercat is a 5 minute walk from the main train station.
