The best part of San Sebastian around lunch time or in the evening when the Bars and restaurants are overflowing with people having a drink, enjoying some pintxos or having a meal.

Really busy part of the town. If you like that go there. Nice ambiance with people drinking and eating outside.

San Sebastian challenges even the least adventurous to experiment with new tastes and textures. Eat the best toro sashimi at Bar Kenji, try bacalao al pil pil at Urrola, or enjoy chuleton at Bar Nestor.

The old town is particularly interesting for its tapas bars and restaurants but also its history! Rebuilt after the Peninsular wars and has changed little in around 200 years. Don't forget to look upwards as the architecture above is very rewarding! The narrow streets, fine...More

At least for a first-timer, this is a must. Pinxos bars all over in the narrow streets, and a few nice shops as well.

The old town is nice, lots & lots of pinchos bars. However, even in June, there are simply too many tourists to be able to enjoy it.

Amongst the shops and markets, close to plazas and churches, you can wander through a delicious tour of bars and restaurants. Even in you just want to look, it's well worth the adventure.

Is it safe to walk on the streets of the old town? Are there a lot of pickpockets? Thanks for your help.

Hello, There is not problem at all. The whole city is a safe. Actually locals walk a lot and the streets are lively, busy, and completely safe. We didn't feel any kind of danger not even unpleasant people on the streets. The... More
