Get a list of good pintxos to try and where. Also try the San Telmo museum. Walk around the headland for the beach views.

So lively, full of energy and character. Sums up the Spanish zest for life well. Yes plenty of tourists but also plenty of locals getting in on the bar/restaurant/pintxo scene. So many options and pricing very fair all things considered.

The old town, whilst being quite touristy, has got plenty of pintxos bars to keep you occupied, and a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon/evening. Throw in various shops, plazas and churches in top and it's great.

Follow the beach towards the north and you will find the old town on the upper right. Narrow streets full of pintxos bars. This is Spain and its great ambiance! Enjoy the Pintxos with some good wine, talk to your neighbours at the counter! Nice!

Hello, There is not problem at all. The whole city is a safe. Actually locals walk a lot and the streets are lively, busy, and completely safe. We didn't feel any kind of danger not even unpleasant people on the streets. The... More
