For a small entrance fee (kids are free) you get an audio tour of the chapels and icons. An escape from the nearby bustle!

We try to visit cathedrals wherever we visit - this lacked any wow! factor. Other people say it is worth a few minutes visit if you are in the area -probably but keep expectations low.

Though it might not be as impressive as other cathedrals in Spain it well deserves a stop by if you're walking around the Casco Viejo area. I really like the cloister (3 euro entrance) because it feels as if suddenly you're out of the city,...More

Cathedral de Santiago is in the heart of Casco Viejo not far from romantic seven streets - Las Siete calles. You will admire a pleasing cloister and Renaissance portico.

The cathedral is not worth a trip on its own, but if you are passing it is certainly worthwhile popping in. Although there is not a lot to see, it has a wonderful atmosphere. Take a few minutes to sit and quietly contemplate.

Came here on a friday afternoon. Very steep climb up countless steps from the old quarter on a scorching day. The Cathedral wasn't open so unfortunately I am unable to give a full review but it looks good from the outside!

I have seen a lot of Cathedrals and this is indeed and beautiful but it is still another big beautiful church. If you are in Bilbao, go see it but not singularly a reason to visit this beautiful city.
