After a small walk up the hill you have a wonderful view on Gijon and (if you like it rough) on the Harbour with its industry and oil tanks. It’s a great place for a shooting as the architecture animates you to interesting perspectives

Nothing spectacular however does offer nice sea views and gets you away from the tourist masses. Worth a walk around if you’re close by.

So the photo shows the concrete work of art. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see this. There are also some old fortifications however I suspect that unless you are a die hard military historian there isn’t much for you. However it is...More

Visit this park on your way to the old town, it's a very nice walk from the beach part of Gijon. You can see a nice part of the coast line on the north.

We walked into the old town and around the headland, seeing the old fortifications. The area is nicely maintained, although the graffiti around the skate park, near the canons detracts a little. The large monument on top can be seen for miles around- bit odd...More

An inspiring place to visit. The top of the hill has a Chillida Monument faced to the sea where you can enjoy a privileged view of the sea, the Gijón City beach and the Musel harbour.

A chunk of reinforced concrete that represents a person turning their back on the town & looking out to sea/ encompassing the horizon/ future. Can well see why the taxpayers.were less than.pleased. Zero enhanced sounds.

Continuing the arty feel to our trip we climbed up from the town to see this cliff top sculpture, a stiff walk up but great views of the bay from the top and worth the effort, had a lovely walk back through the park too.
