It was a total surprise for us that most of the Markets were closed. Other than that, we found many small shops and they sell fresh fruit and vegetables.

I've seen many fruit/meat markets in my time, but found this a little disappointing. On my initial visit there were several stalls that were closed up. I returned the following day, but a little later on, to find shops still closed up. There was certainly...More

We've been in Mercados in many places throughout Europe. This just does not compare to to most of them. I realize that this is not a tourist attraction, but where the locals shop, however we were hoping for a much larger variety of fresh products....More

We were delighted to visit this market which dates back more than 100 years. The historic Mercado Central is frequented by locals and features meats, produce, fish, spices, etc. A trip to the Central Market is a memorable shopping experience.
