Beyond the Iberian peninsula most people are rather uncomfortable about bullfighting, which makes a visit to this venerable bullring with attached museums all the more fascinating – not least for those who would never consider attending a bullfight. An inspection of the ring, and the backstage facilities that sustain it (the Plaza, of necessity, has its own ER) is a good counterpoint to a browse around a museum which is full of artwork and costumes celebrating the skill of the matador together with the mounted heads of their animal nemeses. Go with an open mind and you’ll leave with a much better understanding of bullfighting’s place in the life and culture of Andalucía.

We were not in bullfight season, so sadly we could only take the guided tour. The way this works is that your group is led around in certain areas, and the "guide" tells you to listen to a specific number on your audiotour machine. This...More

Quite a 'controlled' feeling of being herded from the guide, when it would be better to just be able to walk around unaided. Not much to see and to be honest just wanted to get to the bullring to see what it was like and...More

It's a great bull ring with alot of history but the guided audio tour on an empty bull ring and small museum. They charged us 8 to 9 euro per person. Which is a ridiculous price to see an empty bull ring. I wonder how...More

I felt bad enabling the gross practice of bullfighting by paying money to see the bullring, but my dad wanted me to take him. The tour is pretty boring even if you are a fan of torturing animals. It's a bullring. Not much to it.

Pretty cool old bull ring but the only way to see it is via "guided" tour. Tour takes about 30 mins but I would have preferred a self guided tour that would have taken about half that time.

Because this place is very typical of Spain, it’s is highly recommended to go there. I wasn’t impressed but I’ve never been to such a place before.

Our lasted approx 45 minutes and was very interesting. It includes the museum, chapel, and the bullring itself. I'm not into bullfighting at all and I would never attend one, but nonetheless it's worth the visit. The display of matador costumes and capes was impressive.

The only way you can visit the bull ring is to take a tour. The tour last for about 30-40 min,s interesting and informative and you finish off with a walk into the bull ring itself.

Just a couple of rooms with the history of bullfighting and notable matadors. The tour is only 30mins so it’s a great place to visit if you only have 1hr to spare between activities.

We just did it on the day. I don't know if there is an advanced or online option but we didn't wait more than 20 min for a tour. We waited for an English speaking tour. The English was excellent. If you look in advance you... More

They are open for tours 9:30am to 7pm, they start a tour about every half hour. There was a wait when we went so we bought our tickets an hour ahead then went and got Gelato while we waited :)
