Interesting style

It is a hidden jewel of Seville, with an interesting style - mudejar - and an impressive altar. The church should be visited if it happens to be in the area.

Check out the church hidden behind the market for a great introduction to the mudejar style of internal architecture. It does not seem to try to attract tourists yet they are welcome and allowed to wander at will to study the intricated patterns of wood and brickwork.

The Church of San Pedro is located near the Metropol Parasol and is a church with a very good main altar. It has a Mudejar style tower that is quite beautiful. There is a Mudejar cupola inside the church that is quite beautiful too.

The church is to be found near the Encarnacion in the Plaza de San Pedro. It is of Mudejar-Gothic style. The interior contains three naves, the one on the right has a lovely four sided chapel with a Mudejar ceiling dating to the late 1300 hundreds. One outstanding feature is the minaret tower (for the church like so many others... More

The Church of San Pedro is not well known but I like to visit it when I go to Seville because I like the main altar very much with its art. It is dedicated to San Pedro (St. Peter).

The main altar in the Church of San Pedro is quite impressive because it has plenty of art. It was the work of Felipe and Dionisio de Rivas. There is an image of San Pedro that was created by Andres de Ocampo in 1591. There are scenes from the life of the saint also. Above there is the image of... More

The San Pedro Church is located at Calle Doña María Coronel, 1. The style of the church is Gothic-Mudejar and it was built in the 14th century at the Plaza San Pedro. The church has three naves that are separated by pointed arches over pillars that support the wooden ceilings that call attention. The presbytery at the central nave has... More
