This impressive and attractive building stands between the cathedral and royal palace in the very centre of the old town. The visit is free and gives a fascinating and illuminating insight into Sevilla's history.

We were impressed by the beauty of this building. In addition to having free entrance, the building itself is awesome by its architecture. You are allowed to visit two floors, both of which are richly decorated with beautifully decorated ceilings, and plenty of marble everywhere.

To have an idea of how complicated were the consequences of the discover who changed the world a visit is recommended. I found amazing to see the maps drawn as a document of the discovered territories with funny proportions and views. Interesting also the short video documentary which gives an useful explanation of the place. Big plus: is free!

I don't recall if we paid, but we spent about half an hour here walking around. Not too much out in display and it is all in Spanish so if you don't read Spanish you wont get much out of it.

I would have liked to learn something about Spanish colonialism and trade with the New World, but there are only Spanish explanations and the organization of the exhibited objects and documents is quite bad. It's free so if you are interested have a look at it but probably you won't spend much more than 30 minutes in there.

One of the 3 glorius monuments in Plaza Triumfo, others being the Cathedral and the Real Alcazar. Big and imposing with a beautiful fountain in one side. You can reach it by metro ,getting off at ''Puerta Herez'' metro stop and then walk for 4-5 min. Amazing at night ! for bus routes search for : tussam bus map'', really helpful.....

Good free attraction near the Alcazar & the Cathedral with no line. The architecture is worth the trip.

Probably of more interest to Spanish speakers who are interested in their history. Not of real interest to English only speakers
