Very nice local market with fresh fruits, pastries, meat etc. I love the pastries/cakes that we got from this shop 28 Frutas. The strawberries from the other stall was equally sweet! If you are around the area, head over to the small local restaurant calles Algabeno for some great toasts and coffee!

    Fresh life enhancing foods
It was grand strolling throughout this vibrant market. Savouring all the displays and stalls of the best of healthy foods. Freshness is a hallmark and is to be seen in delicious vegetables of nutritious colours, beans and pulses, cheeses and much more.

    Little gem, typical Mediterranean market
Beautiful little typical marker, fruits plentiful fresh tasty, lovely displays in restricted space. Not only fruit & veg but also local produce and a wonderful tapas bar @ No110&111. Strongly recommend a drink and a few tapas here or even just to watch them work is an experience.

We rode the bus for 9 stops to get here to find out almost every store is closed. During siesta time in the summer, the whole neighborhood was extremely quiet. Only one fruit vendor and 2 restaurants (with limited selections on the menus) were open. Keep in mind that we looked online for the hours of the market before visiting, and nothing said it was going to be closed.

Don't waste your time like we did!

We stayed about 8 minutes from the market and visited often for groceries — fresher than in the supermarkets and a fun experience to shop with local vendors. Frutería Duran was my favorite; she was friendly, patient and taught me the names of foods I didn’t know. Don’t miss Lila Limón Pastelería. Lila even made us a custom pumpkin pie for Christmas!

Once you enter you will be approached by a "advisor" with a russian flavour trying to convince you how good it is over here. Bought a plate of fish with beer: 5 Euro.
The amount of food is very small. Paella was from the day or 2 days before. Even the bread - like another brick in the will..
No local is eating there (I know, because I stayed with the locals for 3 weeks).
If you here some of the guests speaking spanish, the are surely not from that neighbourhood - as they know that the market is just made up for tourist.
Rip off par excellence.

It’s on the Feria street where most of the locals make daily shopping. They have a system to visit and eat which doesn’t look like friendly but I like it. To visit you need a 4€ ticket including a plate of food. If you add a small beer it would be 5€.
Good option to have a quick lunch! Prefer one of the fish options instead of paella or pasta! Good value for money.

At last a local market out of the way of tourist traps..one can find vegetable stands, fish and meat, also a very nice cheese and charcuteries stand Ramirez Romero.

If there for lunch , they have a special, different kiosque of food to try, plate and beer or wine for 5 euros, we did try the next day, the atmosphere was amazing.

Generally I adore authentic food markets abroad, but like a few years ago this example was again disappointing. It all looks just a bit sloppy, limited variety in offering and opening hours vary per stand and are completely unreliable. I visited this market hall on three days last week, still half the stands remained closed.

At least don’t by the already packed cheese and chacuteries of Ramirez Romero; not sure if their unpacked and likely more fresh goods are any better (you are lucky if that corner is open apparently), but those red packages are a rip-off with poor quality contents.

Mercado De La Feria is a wonderful market hall my twin brother and I visited as we were exploring around this area of the city and what a nice time we had .
Lots of great looking stalls in this obviously very old and well established market hall ,fresh produce on offer ,busy and vibrant lots going on here ,we never shopped in here but we did visit a couple of bars in the market hall which were packed ,loved the atmosphere here ,if you're in the area its most definitely well worth checking out and easy to locate along Calle Feria .
