The museum has apparently been closed for some time but you can still get a good view of the replicas of Columbus' 3 ships from outside. By our standards they are quite small and frail and give testimony to the courage of these ancient mariners...More

We wanted to visit the vessels on a Saturday afternoon as we were driving by Huelva and were disappointed the place was closed and there was no sign up to advise why and for how long. So we continued to Sevilla. Disappointing!!

As other reviewers have commented, this is still sealed off with people arriving and leaving, disappointed as we were, not to get a closer look at the boats.

Visited this incredibly interesting attraction but in Jan 2017 it was still closed. No indications as to when it will reopen. The nearby Monastery should be worth a visit but it closes during lunch hours. The area is beautiful and well kept.

We thought these were well presented replicas of the 3 ships used by Christopher Columbus & crew on their voyage to America. You can climb aboard so it gives you a good idea what it was like living onboard for months or even years on...More

If you love history and the story of Christopher Columbus or cristobal colón as he is known in Spain you will wonder in awe at this exhibit! My grandchildren would just live this here. Makes history classes a bit more exciting. Great that you can...More
