The Plaza de San Nicolas is a beautiful square looking at Alhambra as everyone will say. Next door a mosque has been built and has a beautiful small plaza that provides the same view with a quiet and relaxing ambiance. Perhaps get a feeling of a closer connection with the culture who built Alhambra.

Great place to stop and rest and see the sheer size of the Alhambra. You also get a flavor of the local neighborhood. There are 3 places adjacent to grab a drink or a light snack.

This is worth a walk up the hill through the old town so that you can view the Alhambra. The old streets are a little difficult to navigate but keep following the stream of young folks.

Great views from here and there was also a guitarist strumming a tune to add to the atmosphere! Not easy to find but well worth it. It is near to the Hop-on Hop-off bus stop Number 5 at Plaza Abad.

After a steep walk through several residential neighborhoods, passing several churches, monasteries and convents, you reach the church of Saint Nicholas atop the highest promontory hill in Grenada. The plaza in front of the church offers the most photogenic panorama of the Alhambra and the Generalife.

If you are in Granada, you have to come here! Views are awesome, especially at dawn, but anytime is good to visit it!

Ponder the stories in the Alhambra's history as you say goodby to a day and enjoy the Alhambra from San Nicholas Plaza.

Went just on dusk so got to see the view both in daylight and as the darkness closed in. Took a taxi there and walked back into town. Found a local taverna away from the tourists for tapas and a wine on the way down. Well worth the effort. Altogether

Plaza de San Nicolas offers a great view point of The Alhambra! A spectacular sight to be seen with the lush green forestry in front of the structure, the Alhambra itself and the beautiful Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains in the background-truly a photographers dream!
