While the bullring may not be most well known tourist spot in Granada. After our visit there, we say it's a must see. The ring has enough memorabilia from the past ages to be a delight for someone enamoured with the sport. The building itself is a sight to behold. The guided tour conducted in English was excellent. The guide's enthusiasm was infectious & almost compensated for the gruesome nature of the sport she was in awe of. We were explained in details the different types of bullfighting & all it's associated traditions.
PS: hope the good people there are safe & sound.

Fantastic English guided tour. Our tour guide explained in great depth every aspect of the bull ring starting from the history, the architecture, the layout of the stadium as well as the various nuances of Bull Fighting sport itself including the popular culture, the dress code and hierarchy of the fighters and the different types of bull fights. They also show you a video of how bulls are brought in, take you to the infirmary and prayer room and the museum. Overall extremely enjoyable tour. No matter how one feels about the sport itself, the tour is highly recommended.

Impressive building as expected with Spanish architecture. The arches are also now being well utilised as bars are restaurants

Two young people organising, one of whom was on their mobile virtually all the time. Paid our adult fees of €8 each and asked to wait 1 minute. As we waited , a spanish couple arrived, shown around and then a large group started their tour. After 10 minutes, asked to wait a further 10 minutes for another guide. Spanish couple and large tour party given priority. The attendants could not have been less interested. Converted the tickets to those without guide. Took 5 minutes to see the Bull ring. All a waste of time really.

Whatever way our booking worked out, the two of us had the guide all to ourselves. Pilar’s English was perfect as she carefully explained about the ring itself (lots to more to it than meets the eye), the players, rituals, culture, etc…and I have to say, she was very patient no matter what questions we asked. The tour covered everything – the chapel got us thinking, and the emergency theatre was nothing short of sobering. The tour lasted well beyond the usual hour…it was that interesting…thank you, Pilar. Whatever your view is of bullfighting, this tour gives a very educated insight into Spanish culture.

Like a lot of bullrings, this is a fabulous structure. It’s developed such that it now accommodates various bars and shops in the external arches. Worth seeing

Whilst I strongly disagree with Bullfighting, you cannot dismiss that Bullfighting is the DNA of Spanish culture, and this tour explains the heritage of this controversial sport.
Costing €8, the tour lasts for around an hour and is conducted in several languages if required.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and sympathetic over our concerns regarding the inhumanity of the actual sport. However, listening to the history, and understanding how passionate and deeply inherited Bullfighters are to this sport, the tour was really interesting, and totally appreciated.
Every aspect of the tour was interesting, and the Bullring itself is a building of beauty.
I would advise to visit, dont judge and consider the history, more than the future, as I doubt this kind of sport will be around too long.
