The beach looks so good in the photos. In reality there is sharp pebbles all over the beach. not very clean compared to places such as Alcudia etc. The level of the sea drops quite quickly so not suitable for kids. Loungers are very close...More

Beach lovely and sandy, sunbeds and umbrella €10 for 2 people, going into the sea has a bit of a drop to it.

Just back from La Carihuela and its sandy beach. The beach is a lovely place to pass the day away. There are more than enough sun beds and parasols with beach bars to go with them. Prices range from three to five euros. There are...More

Lovely sandy beach. Large enough so it does not need to be packed in any way. However sunbeds and umbrella (10 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella) are packed so close to each other that it actually appears cramped. Shame as there is bar...More

It's obviously a well groomed beach, spotlessly clean. There are sea shells, but mostly one type only. Would visit again if I could.

Good sandy beach with loads of sun loungers to choose from (3 euros all day). It doesn't get to full. We went in June. Food outlets on the beach with indoor seating as well. Water can be cold though lol

A great beach and promenade unspoilt by over commercialism. Loungers and parasols available at good prices on a spotlessly clean beach

There are lots out there to choose from, worth considering going a little further down the promenade towards Benalmadena for better views in a more peaceful location but within a stroll from Carihuela
