Three chimneys altogether but this is the highest. Lovingly restored and well worth a visit. Plumbob seen through glass windows at base responds to the sway of the chimney in high winds

The Chimney of the Guindos is an old chimney completed in 1923. It is located next to San Andres beach. The 106-meter high construction was made from refractory bricks to resist acids. Its function was to transfer the toxic gases from the factory, which melted the lead from the mines of the province of Jaen, to a higher atmosphere. The factory was closed in 1979 and demolished but the chimney remained as a symbol of the Malaga industry.…

Not sure of the importance of Chimenea de los Guindos but it’s a prominent structure on the promenade at Malaga. Looks a little out of place but very well renovated
