About
The building where Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 and lived until 1884 houses works and personal belongings of the artist and his family. A specialized library and an on-going program of temporary exhibitions and cultural activities complement the offer of Picasso's Birthplace Museum.

Fairly nice museum. Staff were polite. Not very large so I don’t expect to stay super long, but when I visited I was there for about 1.5 hours. The highest floor was closed, though. Always interesting to walk in the footsteps of artists and the collection is interesting, but don’t expect that of a larger museum in terms of the quality of the pieces. With that being said, if you’re a big art enthusiast, I’d recommend checking it off your list.

really did not understand Picasso's paintings. Not worth the visit unless you are truly an art lover and know that he paints very odd childlike paintings and then many nudes also.

Was unable to download my online ticket so went to the museum with proof of payment on my phone. Asked if I could download my ticket there but told I couldn’t.
They just shrugged and said I was not allowed to enter. Fortunately I found a cyber cafe across the road who kindly let me use their Wi-Fi to access my ticket. The.smell of the toilets pervaded the museum. Not sure if pigeons and doves are the same but I thought the dove paloma ) was a symbol of peace but their English captions just mentioned pigeons?

Small museum that is definitely worth a visit! Just for the lithograph series of bulls alone. From a lifelike sketch to a fully rendered beast to a simple picasso abstraction of a few lines in 9 panels. Many early and late sketches and etchings.

When I was visiting Malaga and I wanted to see the Casa Natal Picasso. I went in and the museum is rather small, but it was interesting, because it was Picasso birthplace. If you a Picasso fan, please visit it.

There are no works by Picasso himself, but some by his father. Family portraits, documents, stories… not much, but if you asked yourself about origins of his creativity you probably find some hints here. I did. Recommend!

Some information about Picasso’s family and environment. Aspects of a person as a member of a family not just as of an artist.
I came closer to the Picasso experience through this museum than the Museo Picasso.

No information in English at all, only Spanish. Watched a documentary on my smartphone and left. Waste of money and time.

I didn't quite see the whole "birthplace home". There really isn't much to see. A few rooms, with some art (not all from Picasso) but no items from his childhood that would be interesting to see. It was great to walk through the few rooms and what was there was in good condition but I didn't walk away with any wonder or excitement. You can walk through and read everything within 10 minutes. Sunday's are free entry.
