I can definitely recommend going here if you're in Málaga. The views from the roof are amazing and the castillo itself is well preserved. The entrance fee is super cheap (something like 2,20€ for adults, but I'm a student and got in for 0,60€) and...More

The Castillo can be reached after a steep 20 min climb, but is well worth it. There is also a busline that goes up. I would recommend going early in the morning or in the evening, when the temperatures have gone down a bit. Beside...More

This old castle offers an amazing view over Malaga centre and its surroundings. The walking trip up requires patient and stamina, but it is really worth it.

Would be quite a climb but we used the City Tour bus then walked down to take in the Alacazaba as well. Great Wall walks with wonderful views. Well worth it.

Great castle to visit. Many outdoor sections so wear sunscreen. Beautiful views of Malaga from above the ramparts. Be ready to walk. Lots of stairs. Probably can visit the whole castle in about 90 minutes. A worthwhile visit in Malaga.

This place is a must-see for truly epic views of Malaga. I am still in awww at the views from the top. It's a real Kodak moment.

It was a long and exhausting walk to Gibralfaro but it was all worth it. The walls of the castle provide a great landscape view of Malaga, a very beautifull place to check out if you have the time and oportunity.

A long winding uphill walk (a bus is possible) but worth the effort. Amazing construction with outstanding views. Be sure to walk around the entire walls as there are many unexpected views to see. The museum could do with more English subtitle inscriptions. Otherwise very...More

The castle is situated on the top of the hill so it is quite a steep walk up from the city. However, you can always take a taxi up or catch the hop on/hop off tourist bus that stops outside the castle entrance. You will...More

Is the path paved enough to push an umbrella stroller on it? I'm traveling with a toddler who isn't quite able to handle long walks/climbs.

It is a LONG and STEEP winding ascent from the bottom to the top. It is actually probably easier to go up than down but as has been said, the cobblestones make the path uneven which could make pushing a buggy up quite tough... More
