Worth the trip up the hill to walk around the perimeter of the castle and get a view of all of Malaga. You can take the public bus here from the main town area.

We walked up to here after visiting the Alcazaba. Very steep in places, so make sure you take some water with you. Plenty of places to just stop, catch your breath and take great photos if the city below. Same entrance fees as fir the Alcazaba, 2.20€ for adults, 0.60€ for concessions, students and children 6 and above. Think you... More

Enjoyed a few hours here and it was great to be able to walk through the grounds and take in the beautiful sites of Malaga. It only cost 2 Euro's 40 to get is, which is amazingly cheap but if you visit on a Sunday then it is free.

It's a steep climb from the town so catch the local bus number 35 which takes you there . There's a nice cafe for a light lunch and then walk back to the town, brilliant!

It's a bit of a trek but there is a bus if you want. Very cheap to get in. Beautiful views of the city and port. Lovely walks around the battlements.

It's a beautiful place positioned on the very top of the hill, from where you can enjoy the view of the marina and the city. Very popular with tourists. You can use red line city tour bus.

Best to buy a ticket to cover this and the Moorish castle in front. There is a good time limit to visit both so don't rush the experience. The views at the different stages are remarkable and you have a good view of the bull ring which seems in contrast unremarkable inside. Enjoy a drink at the top and a... More

The castle was a Muslim military settlement. From its walls you can have a look of all Malaga which is really nice.
