The castle is adjacent and connected to the Alcazaba and you can walk between them but it is a climb up to the castle. You can drive to the Castle and there is parking there. You can pay for entrance to both attractions, or do them separately. Both are well worth the visit. Try and go on a nice day... More

Cheap entrance fee and great city views. Bus service from City if you don’t have a car. You can also walk up to top from City but not recommended if temp is over 20 degrees. Bus up and walk down is my advice.

There is an interpretation centre and a cafe to reward your efforts in climbing up to the Castle. Although the hop on hop off bus takes you. Stunning views from the castle walls.

Visited the castle in a sunny afternoon and it was worth to climb up to the castle. Excellent views and also some historical items in the hall.

Amazing views, all Malaga city on your palm. Lots of walk up and down the hill, so have comfy shoes or I think there is buses that drives up, but still enough walking up and down narrow alleys of castle as well as high steps of stairs. Amazing experience, must see place!!!

We walked up on a sunny day. The views were beautiful, the climb was sweaty. The castle was well worth the effort- great ramparts to walk around and good cold beer at the top too! You can get a taxi up the hill instead if the climb would be too much for you. I wouldn't go on a grey day... More

I was told there was nothing to see in Malaga. BUT that's wrong. It's a beautiful town and history is strongly present. I'm very glad I did the walk up to visit it. I surely recommend !

We chose to visit only one of the castillos and chose the Gibralfaro. I can imagine that it would have been a hard walk if it had been a hot summerday, but it was no problem in february. Really worth a visit if you're in Malaga

it takes quite an effort to climb the mountain but is't worth it, because the views are magnificent and ruins magical entrance cost less than one euro and walk up the mountain around 0,5 h

It was nice and had great view of the city. It takes about one hour to explore the castle. Take camera because there is an opportunity for interesting shots. Definitely wear comfortable shoes because there are a lot of narrow stairs. If you have asthma bring an inhaler...you'll need it.
